Hello there! This blog is actually different from most of the blogs I posted. More than a year now or exactly 1 year and 22 days, I posted on this blog saying that this blog will consists of my Korean Dramas reviews, life blogs and other things that came up to my mind. And today, I am writing my first blog for the series that I have named "Churches I Visited."
First on the list, was the parish that my address or community belong in. And this is The Annunciation Parish under the Diocese of Imus. It was actually a young parish close to my age. The church was established on December 24, 1997 making me months older to this church. But it became a parish around 16 years ago, if I stand correctly, since it celebrated its 10th year anniversary last 2017.
The parish was named after the first joyful mystery of the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary which is The Annunciation making it also called the Joyful Church. The patron saint was the Our Lady of Annunciation alongside with the second patron saint which is the angel and the messenger of God named Saint Gabriel.
The Feast of The Annunciation is celebrated every March 25 making it 9 months before the day we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus which is on December 25. For updates on their mass schedule you may visit their official Facebook page.

I actually been doing church visits before but this time I want it to be more serious and very different from before. Just to quickly share, I considered visiting the church by dropping by and staying for a while but not this time; All the post that will fall under the Churches I Visit will be the churches that I was able to attend mass. And to start my Church Visit journey, of course, I started it with the parish of our community which is The Annunciation Parish last September 29, 2023.
My visit was also the Feast Day of the second patron of The Annunciation Parish which is the Feast of the Archangel Gabriel. On this day also is the celebration, alongside St. Gabriel, of the Feast of the two other archangels named Raphael and Michael. After the mass, a procession for St. Gabriel was conducted.

My blogs about my church visit will be short and sweet but this one might be the longest since I want to share the background or rationale about this series I am writing. I am doing this not because someone told me or because I wanted to just post it. I am doing this because I want to, it just pops on my head and tell me to do it again more seriously. And as I was doing this, I am starting to learn more about the tradition of every area I am visiting. It's just that I just want to do it and I hope I can keep doing it with all of my heart. I am posting it, on the other hand to remind me of my journey. I actually posted it privately on Facebook where just few friends can see. But I decided to also post this on this blog for other people to be encourage or might want to visit as well the churches I visited. Furthermore, for them to also learn the tradition and faith of different areas, seeing it in actual is really soul revitalizing. It actually helps us to grow more closer to our Faith and also learn more about others.
Let us end this blog with a prayer... that just like Mary we can be able to pay attention to God's word, that we can be as willing as her to accept the will of the God, and that we trust God with all of our heart. In Jesus Name, we pray. Amen. Pray for us Our Lady of the Annunciation. Pray for us St. Gabriel Archangel.
