Simple series can be either too simple or too heavy, as in this series. In "Recipe for Farewell," a man named Kang Chang-Wook cooks for her wife, Jung Da-Jung, who has cancer and has difficulty eating. Han Suk-Kyu played Chang-Wook, a translator and humanities instructor who also writes a blog about how he prepares meals for his wife. While Kim Seo-Hyung portrays the wife.

This series was straightforward in its message to its audience. Chang-Wook is shown cooking for her wife in the first episode. Despite their separation, Jung Da-Jung asks Chang-Wook if he can cook for her, and he agrees without hesitation.
Because each episode is only around 30 minutes long, my pilot episode review may include some thoughts on the second episode. It's great to see Han Suk-Kyu in another drama. I can't wait for Dr. Romantic 3. And it was nice to see Jin Ho-Eun, who plays Kang Jae-Ho, the son of Chang-Wook and Da-Jung, have a good boy look.
I said this series was simple because it gets right to the point without any complicated twists or turns of events. Despite the fact that she had cancer, the transition was smooth and peaceful for me. It was just a normal way of dealing with and surviving life. Even though it was simple, this series gave me a heavy feeling from the first few moments of the first episode.

Perhaps I felt heavy because the title included the word "Farewell." At first, I assumed it was about a marriage that would end in divorce because of the first scene where he cooks because his wife only took a bite before leaving for work and his son didn't even have breakfast. But it was more than that; the woman had cancer, they had previously lived separately, then began to live again solely to support his wife, and the son no longer wanted to be with his father.
Despite the fact that the flow was smooth, the way the story was presented was heavy. I realize I may have made no sense in the previous sentences because there were complications in the story, but what I'm trying to say is that the vibes it gave were simpler than any other Korean Drama that will truly give you heartache due to what they've been through in the past or the life they're living. This one was simply trying to live the life she had, and his husband was willing to do his wife's favor.
