Crash Course in Romance (2023) - Pilot Episode: "It gets me interested"

Hello there, Chingus! Another drama offering in 2023 is tvN's "Crash Course in Romance," which takes over the timeslot previously occupied by "Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" every Saturday and Sunday. It's about Nam Haeng-Seon, played by Jeon Do-Yeon, and Choi Chi-Yeol, played by Jung Kyoung-Ho.

Nam Haeng-Seon was a national athlete in the past. She is now the owner of a side dish shop. She has an outgoing personality and boundless stamina. She looked after her niece as if she were her mother, and her niece wants to study Math in an academy under the guiding hand of Cho Chi-Yeol. Nam Haeng-Seon unexpectedly becomes involved with Choi Chi-Yeol.

Choi Chi-Yeol is a well-known private education instructor. He puts in long hours at work. As a teacher, he speaks without hesitation and incorporates showmanship into his lessons. As a popular instructor, he has amassed wealth and fame, but with increasing success, he has become more sensitive, prickly, and indifferent to people. He then meets Nam Haeng-Seon, who has an infectious smile and boundless energy. Nam Haeng-Seon and Choi Chi-relationship Yeol's blossoms romantically.

First, I wasn't familiar with the main characters, but that doesn't make the story any less compelling. The story was intriguing, and I kept watching until episode 2 before writing this review. I usually watch the first episode and then wait until I finish writing my pilot episode review to watch the next one, but this time I decided to keep watching because it was good and I wasn't in the mood to get my laptop out to type my thoughts.

Second, it was a fun story with a mysterious twist. It combines school, romance, and mystery in an excellent way. Furthermore, it had a good back story, which added to the story's solidity and greatness.

Third, the fact that Choi Chi-Yeol can only digest foods prepared by Nam Haeng-Seon was extremely beneficial. This was revealed and supported by the backstory of them, in which Choi Chi-Yeol eats at Nam Haeng-Seon's mother's restaurant. 

I just hope that as the story progresses, they keep the story's goodness. Overall, I can say that I will definitely watch it; it will be a welcome break from the stressful series I am currently watching.
