Kim So Hyun has been confirmed to star in mystery romance drama "Useless Lies"

Kim So Hyun will return to the small screen in a new drama series after nearly two years!

According to reports from September, Kim So Hyun will star in a new mystery romance K-drama. Kim So Hyun's agency, IEUM Hashtag, finally confirmed on November 11th that the top actress will be returning to acting with "Useless Lies."

Kim So Hyun will collaborate with director Nam Sung Woo, who has previously worked on the K-dramas "Love in Contract," "My Roommate Is a Gumiho," and "Kkondae Intern."

Kim So Hyun may collaborate with NU'EST Hwang Min Hyun, who is still in negotiations to be the male lead. 

"Useless Lies" will center on a woman who cannot trust others due to her ability to hear lies and a murder suspect who no one believes in. She will become entangled in the incident and seek the truth.

Kim So Hyun will play Mok Sol Hee. She has the ability to hear lies and believes that this is a curse rather than a superpower. Meanwhile, Hwang Min Hyun received an offer to play the mysterious man Kim Do Ha, Korea's best composer and producer.

"Useless Lies" is expected to premiere in 2023.

Kim So Hyun was most recently seen in the Netflix original series "Love Alarm 2" in 2021 and the hit KBS drama "River Where the Moon Rises" in 2022.

Kim So Hyun will co-star with Chae Jong Hyeop in the upcoming K-drama "Is It Fate?" in addition to "Useless Lies".
