The First Responders (2022) - Pilot Episode Review: "Intense"

"The First Responders" pilot episode was one of my favorites. This gives me an excitement and makes me want to watch more episodes. This show follows the employees of a police station and a fire station who collaborate to solve crimes. This time, the story focused not only on how the police solved the case, but also on the role of the fire station in cases, particularly those requiring emergency responses.

Kim Rae-character, Won's Jin Ho-Gae, is a detective. He does an excellent job. When he talks to people, he isn't friendly, but he solves cases with his excellent ability to grasp crime scenes, read a criminal's mind, and having a strong will to win.

Song Ho-character, Jun's Bong Do-Jin, is a firefighter. He is enthusiastic about his job. He appears cold to others, but he is kind to those around him and takes good care of the victims. Gong Seung-Yeon's character, Song Seol, works as a paramedic. She has a generous heart.

Based on the pilot episode, this trio will be one of the best in a drama series. The pilot wasted no time in making the best case for hooking the viewer. However, because the first episode's case was so intense, a hostage attempted murder case, I am expecting more complicated and intense cases in the upcoming episodes.

I like the plot of this drama because it focuses on the emergency response team this time, with the assistance of the police. I'm looking forward to seeing what else this drama has in store for me. This drama series focuses on the job first and has yet to reveal the main characters' backstories. I'd like to know if they had a tragic past or a complicated life. Jin Ho-Gae already revealed a glimpse of his family history, in which his father was a chief prosecutor.

I have no idea what will happen in the upcoming episodes or what cases will be resolved. We'll see if this drama disappoints me or not. I really hope it doesn't, because I already have high hopes for it. I assumed from the title that it would be more on the medical side, but I was mistaken, which is why I am so impressed with this series.

Evidently, I really enjoy this drama. It has a story, action, mystery, crime, and an intense factor. I'm already smitten with this drama and can't wait for the next installment. I was reminded of the television show "Voice," in which they were the ones who answered emergency calls. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this drama as well.
