Revenge of Others (2022) - Series Review: "Great Plot Twist"

Revenge of Others is a good high school mystery series. I remembered during my Pilot Episode Review I felt that this drama had the Class of Lies vibes. But comparing it to the said series, I would prefer the Class of Lies. I was confused until the eleventh and twelfth episodes, but when it came to the finale episode, all the questions in my mind were answered, so what I can say is that it had a great plot twist.

Great Plot Twist because it was the ending I didn't expect and the murderer I had the least suspicion. though I had some part of me that I knew he may be the one but because the plot and the story flow leads me to believe he wasn't the one and rather a victim as well, but he was indeed a victim at all that made him kill Park Won-Seok.

The revelation in the last part was mind blowing which I honestly didn't expect. I had my suspicion with Park Won-Seok love interest, but I didn't expect it to be with someone else. I expected it to be between Gi O-sung and Seok Jae-Bum, but it turned out to be someone else. Even the love interest of Gi O-sung was kind of mind blowing to me.

All the character really did portray their role well. I honestly had some episodes that I wasn't happy with or that made me lose interest in the series, but I'm glad I didn't stop watching because how the story ends or the last two episodes are truly mind-blowing. Though I agree that there are some scenes that don't make sense, such as why did Jae Bum steal Ji Seo-Heon's phone or maybe it was to make sure that the viewer will believe more that Jae Bum was the culprit.

There is one line or statement in this series with which I completely agree. It was in the final episodes that all of the students agreed that they needed to tell one lie in order to save one student. The detective stated that when everyone tells one lie, it becomes the truth.

The series' title is extremely catchy. The title refers to a hero who seeks vengeance for those who were unable to obtain justice because the world or school is unfair. He, the hero, do the revenge for a price because he needs it for his mother's hospital bill. The hero I am talking about is Park Solomon's character which is Ji Seo-Heon. I actually thought at first that Seo-Heon had something to do as well with Ok Chan-Mi's twin brother's death.

Overall, because there were parts that got me bored with this drama, I think probably it's a good thing that it ended in episode 12 because I'm not sure if my interest will be there if they continue with it until the normal 16 episodes. Though ending it in episode 12 may have appeared rushed to some, I thought it was a good decision because it made episodes 11 and 12 more interesting to watch. I really liked episodes 11 and 12 because the mystery was unraveling and blowing my mind, as I previously stated.

Would I suggest it? I would, but I can't guarantee you'll enjoy it because I've read that some people don't like the ending, while others, like me, do. So, if you're able to watch it, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
