Unlock My Boss (2022) - Pilot Episode Review: "Interesting Plot"

Unlock My Boss is the most recent drama series to air on ENA. It tells the story of the CEO of an IT company who unexpectedly transformed into a smartphone and found an ordinary man who aspired to be like him and asked him to act as the CEO on his behalf.

Park Sung-Woong's character, Kim Sung-Joo, was the CEO of Silver Lining, an IT companyHe was pursued by people who wanted to kill him, and then he was sucked into the Smartphone during the accident. Park In-Sung, played by Chae Jong-Hyeop, discovered the phone.

Park In-Sung is a hardworking young man who aspires to be like Kim Sung-Joo. He had been looking for a permanent job since he graduated, but it had become difficult for him. His life will change when he agrees to accept Park Sung-Woon's favor.

This series was based on Park Sung-Hyun's webtoon "Sajangnimeul Jamgeumhaeje." Unlock My Boss was directed by Lee Chul-Ha, and I believe this was his first drama series since most of his previous work was movies.

Kim Sung-Joo, one of the main characters in this drama, was excellent in every role he played. I saw him in the film "Method," and he was fantastic in it. Also, Chae Jong-Hyeop who will be playing the majority of the scenes, which I am unfamiliar with because I have not previously watched the series in which he appears. What I can say is that he is cute and appealing. He has good looks and, as they say, had the visuals that will make you want to watch him more. His honest, innocent, and fun character here added to his appearance making him more interesting to watch.

For the female main character, Seo Eun-Soo will play the secretary to the CEO, Jung Se-Yeon. I believe he had a compelling story as well. She appears more mysterious to me, but the plot indicates that she will assist Jong-Hyeop's character in revealing the truth. And, unfortunately, I'm not familiar with her because, like Jong-Hyeop, I haven't had the opportunity to watch her previous dramas, particularly those in which she was the lead or co-lead.

Even without watching it, the story was already catchy and piqued my interest. But it drew me more to it because it exceeded my expectations. It was entertaining and interesting to watch, and I will undoubtedly continue to do so until the end. It had a humorous, secret, and mysterious side. Humorous because he will be playing a CEO from being an ordinary man, secret because he needs to improve his acting, and mystery because they need to figure out who was responsible for his death, or should I say who attempted to kill the CEO.

I'm hoping that as the series progresses, it will not disappoint me but rather keep me interested. Because I am curious, my level of interest is at an all-time high right now. Once the story has piqued my interest and made me wonder how it will end, I will undoubtedly watch it until the end. Have you begun it? What are your thoughts?
