The Interest of Love (2022) - Pilot Episode Review: "Simple yet Realistic"

This drama, which already has five episodes, came to my attention a few days ago. I'm not sure why I hadn't heard of this drama until recently. Perhaps my radar, search capability, and ability to keep up with the news were a little out of place. I need to work on that one.

Moving on, JTBC's most recent drama offering, "The Interest of Love," stars Yoo Yeon Seok as Ha Sang-Su, Mun Ka-Young as Ahn Su-Yeong, Keum Sae-Rok as Park Mi-Gyeong, and Jung Ga-Ram as Jeong Jong-Hyeon. It describes a realistic romance between four people who met at the KCU Bank Yongpo Branch.

Ha Sang-Su is an ordinary man who believes that happiness is having an unshakeable life. However, his peaceful daily life is disrupted by the arrival of love. That appears to be the case in the first episode. He really likes Ahn Su-Yeong and was able to get Su-Yeong to date him, but due to some circumstances, they ended up on bad terms and he believes he fell in love with a bitch.

Ahn Su-Yeon is a woman who believes that love is fleeting and can end at any time. She's preoccupied with surviving in difficult circumstances. A man who approaches her unexpectedly excites her. She appears ordinary in the first episode, and she appears natural and shy, but by the end of the pilot episode, I'm not sure if I should believe if it was her real or a fake version of her.

Park Mi-Gyeong comes from a wealthy family, and she is assertive and open about her emotions. When she likes someone, she forces them to join her side no matter what. She enters into a relationship that does not go as planned. I haven't seen her yet in the pilot episode; perhaps she will appear in the next episode and make the story more interesting to watch.

Jeong Jong-Hyeon is studying for a police officer exam. He has a personality that motivates him to do his best in everything he does. I'm not sure what to say about him; he acts normally in the pilot episode and has the visuals to make it more interesting, particularly in the battle of love.

The plot was simple because it focused on the life and romance of a specific job. How they elaborate it in the next episode to make it more fun and complicated will determine whether it was really a simple story or I just thought it was.

This story is realistic, and by realistic, I mean relatable. People will have something to say about you, no matter how good or bad you were to them. When people dislike you, they will try to interrogate you in order to make you feel inferior or bad. If they didn't get they want from you they told lies about you.

I know that adding a more complicated people and revealing a more complicated back story to this story would add more flavor to it. Overall, I thought it was enjoyable to watch and cute. The pilot was not particularly appealing, but it was still good and you might enjoy watching it.
