Ang Mabuting Pastol Parish - Diocese of Imus

I had the opportunity to revisit Ang Mabuting Pastol Parish in Dasmariñas, Cavite, on November 5, 2023. Situated near SM Dasmariñas City, the church draws its name from Jesus' words in the Bible found in John 10:11-21, where the Lord declares himself as a good shepherd willing to sacrifice his life for his sheep. The feast day of the Good Shepherd is celebrated every 4th Sunday of Easter.

The patron saint of the church is St. Pio of Pietrelcina, more commonly known as Padre Pio. His spiritual focus centered on the Eucharist, prayer, and the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation. The feast day of St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina is observed every 23rd of September.

his visit wasn't my, given its proximity to SM City Dasmariñas, I had previously attended Mass and even recorded part of a music video within the church premises during my First Year in College.

Let us consistently embrace the role of being the sheep of the Lord. May we unfailingly seek our way back to Him, recognizing that, in the vast field of the world, we are similar to sheep—dependent on His guidance and care. As obedient sheep, let us faithfully follow our Good Shepherd, acknowledging our need for His loving direction and protection throughout our journey in this worldly pasture.
