Fanletter, Please (2022) - Pilot Episode Review: "Cute"

MBC's new drama "Fan Letter, Please," starring Soo Young and Yoon Park, premiered last Friday night, November 18. Soo Young plays Han Gang-Hee, a famous actress who is embroiled in controversy due to a fan letter. The lie of Yoon Park's character, Bang Jung-Seok, saved her.

Bang Jung-Seok is a single father who is raising his leukemia-stricken daughter. His daughter has a wish for him: she wants to hear back from Han Gang-Hee. She wrote a letter to her favorite actress and hoped for a response. But because Han Gang-Hee was unable to respond to all of the letters and her father was unable to persuade Han Gang-Hee to respond despite the fact that they knew each other, he decided to forge the letter.

But it caused more misunderstanding, but he was able to debunk the story about Gang-Hee not reading the fan letters she received. It was normal for an actress to be unable read every fan letter. That is very understanding, especially for someone with a busy schedule. But I also know that there were artists who, despite their busy schedules, attempted to respond. However, we cannot always expect them to respond.

The story was cute for several reasons, the first of which was the backstory of the two leads. The story of the main character, who is a single father with a daughter. It's also cute how the lie turns out to be a way to save the actress. It was lighthearted, entertaining, and, of course, adorable.

Overall, despite the fact that I am unfamiliar with the main characters, their visuals and acting were excellent. They did an excellent job in their roles, and I hope that this drama will provide more good vibes, love, and drama. In the upcoming episodes, I believe this drama will not be as light. I have a feeling it will have both touching and heartbreaking scenes. I'm excited for more episodes. I can say that I appreciate and enjoy the pilot episode.
